The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) region has seen a significant 94 percent reduction in dengue cases this year compared to 2023. NDMC member Kuljeet Singh Chahal reported that from January 1 to August 29 last year, 131 dengue cases were recorded in the NDMC area, while only seven cases have been confirmed this year. Additionally, there has been no malaria case this year, whereas one case was recorded last year. Similarly, there have been no reported cases of chikungunya, while 237 malaria and 30 chikungunya cases were reported last year.
