In a disturbing incident in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, a 70-year-old shopkeeper has been filmed molesting a 10-year-old girl who had visited his shop to buy household items on Tuesday afternoon. The incident was captured on video, showing the elderly man inappropriately touching the minor girl.

Accused Arrested Under POCSO and SC/ST Act Following the release of the video on social media, Sitapur police acted promptly and arrested the accused, identified as Mohd Anwar, under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and the SC/ST Act. The arrest was made after a complaint from the girl's mother. According to a statement from the Sitapur police on X, "A case number 410/24 under sections 74 BNS, 9m/10 POCSO Act, 3 (1)(w)(i), 3 (2)(va) SC/ST Act has been registered at Hargaon.
