Silver Seized in Bhiwandi Worth ₹3.31 Lakhs
In a significant operation, the Flying Squad and police team seized silver worth ₹3.31 lakhs in Bhiwandi, Thane district, Maharashtra. The action was taken due to the enforcement of the model code of conduct in the Bhiwandi West assembly constituency. Officials reported that around 3 AM on Sunday, a vehicle was stopped that contained 72 boxes of silver, valued at ₹2.08 crores.

When the police asked the occupant about the details, he could only account for 60 boxes worth ₹2.04 crores, while he was unable to provide any documentation or information for the remaining 12 boxes, which contained silver worth ₹3.31 lakhs, leading to their seizure.

Bashir Ahmed Veeri, a leader of the National Conference, has been detained at the Srinagar airport after two gun bullets were recovered from his bag.
