Rajasthan Becomes the ‘Base’ of Arms for Lawrence Gang

Recent revelations have highlighted Rajasthan as a significant hub for the arms supply of the Lawrence gang, linking a series of murders from Punjab’s renowned singer Sidhu Moosewala to the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai. The shooters arrested in connection with Siddiqui’s murder have disclosed that the weapons used were supplied from Udaipur in Rajasthan.

High-Tech Arms Supply

Investigative agencies believe that these arms were brought in through drones from Pakistan. According to the Mumbai police, the quality of the weapons used in Siddiqui’s murder was so high that they could pierce bulletproof glass. This raises critical questions about the origins of such advanced weaponry.

Lawrence Gang’s Network

Investigations by the NIA and Rajasthan Police have revealed that the Lawrence gang has established a robust network in Rajasthan for arms supply linked to various criminal activities. These weapons are reportedly smuggled across the border and hidden in secure locations post-crime.

Main Accused and Arrests

In the Baba Siddiqui murder case, one of the arrested shooters, Bhagwant Singh, admitted to bringing weapons from Udaipur. Furthermore, Rajasthan Police have acted against several gangsters in the Raju Thehat murder case, recovering a significant cache of arms.

Connection to Khalistani Networks

The NIA’s investigations have uncovered ties between the Lawrence gang and Khalistani networks, which have been providing them with modern weapons. This network has facilitated the supply of arms to the gang, enabling them to execute multiple criminal activities.

With Rajasthan emerging as a critical arms base for the Lawrence gang, the implications pose a significant threat to not only the state but also national security. Failure to dismantle this network could result in increasingly dangerous criminal incidents in the future.
