In a significant boost to inter-city connectivity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Pune-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express train on September 15. This event, set to take place in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, will mark the inauguration of 10 Vande Bharat trains simultaneously—a first in the history of Indian Railways.
Enhanced Connectivity and Comfort
The introduction of the Pune-Nagpur Vande Bharat Express is expected to alleviate the pressure on current train services between the two cities, making travel more convenient for passengers.
Amit Gadre, an IT professional from Pune who frequently travels to his hometown Nagpur, expressed his enthusiasm: “My home travel by train used to depend on ticket availability. The Vande Bharat train will ease the reservation rush and reduce travel time.”
Another traveler, Kedar Mahangale, noted the benefits: “Pune-Nagpur trains are often packed, and booking tickets requires advance planning. The Vande Bharat train will provide a much-needed alternative.”
The launch of these high-speed trains represents a significant step forward in improving rail infrastructure and connectivity across India.
