Following the assembly elections, the Haryana government is poised to take significant action against certain IAS and IPS officers. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Saini, a plan is being devised to transfer numerous officials, particularly those accused of electoral irregularities favoring the Congress party.
Sources indicate that during the elections, several officers at the level of District Collectors (DC), Superintendents of Police (SP), Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDM), and Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) were involved in misconduct, allegedly supporting Congress.
Recently, Panchayati Development Minister Krishna Lal Panwar publicly accused some officials of holding clandestine meetings with former Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda to strategize against the BJP before the elections. Additionally, Transport Minister Anil Vij claimed that certain officials were involved in plotting his murder, highlighting that his security was neglected during the campaign.
In the backdrop of these developments, it is anticipated that Vivek Joshi, who recently returned from the central government following the retirement of Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad, will be appointed as the new Chief Secretary. Joshi is considered a trusted associate of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has held several crucial positions within the central government.
