Haryana Polls: BJP Releases Second List of 21 Candidates

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its second list of candidates for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections, scheduled for October 5. This list includes 21 candidates, adding to the 67 names announced earlier. Some notable names in the new list are:

  • Krishna Gahlawat from Rai
  • Bimla Chaudhary from Pataudi
  • Manish Grovar from Rohtak
  • Sanjay Singh from Nuh
  • Aizaz Khan from Punahana

Among the most significant matchups is Captain Yogesh Bairagi, who will run from Julana against the Congress candidate and former wrestler Vinesh Phogat.

The BJP’s first list of candidates, released on September 4, had already stirred controversy, with multiple leaders, including a cabinet minister and ex-MLAs, resigning in protest over ticket allocations.

CM Nayab Singh Saini Files Nomination

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has officially filed his nomination from Ladwa, a constituency with a significant OBC presence, making it a strategic seat for the BJP.

The Haryana assembly elections will take place in a single phase on October 5, with results declared on October 8.
