Cow Vigilante Bittu Bajrangi to Contest Haryana Polls as Independent from Faridabad

Cow vigilante Bittu Bajrangi, also known as Rajkumar Panchal, has announced his candidacy for the Haryana Assembly elections as an independent candidate. He filed his nomination on Monday for the NIT assembly segment in Faridabad.

The Haryana assembly elections are scheduled for October 5.

District Election Officer Vikram Singh confirmed that Bajrangi has officially entered the race as an independent candidate for the NIT Faridabad seat.

Bajrangi, who leads the Gau Raksha Bajrang Force, has been a contentious figure. He is an accused in the Nuh violence case, which began in July of the previous year following an attack on a procession organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad. The violence led to the deaths of five individuals, including two home guards, and resulted in injuries and property damage. The unrest also spread to Gurugram, where a naib imam was killed.

In July this year, three additional cases were filed against Bajrangi in Faridabad. His candidacy is expected to add a significant dynamic to the upcoming elections.
