Arrest of Bangladeshi Star Riya Barde
A Bangladeshi adult film actress named Riya Barde has been arrested by the police in India for allegedly residing in the country illegally. Authorities discovered that she was involved in the production of explicit films and operated under false pretenses. The police have uncovered a significant racket tied to Riya, which involves several production houses creating adult content.
Who is Riya Barde?
Riya Barde, also known as Aarohi Barde, was apprehended by the police in Ulhasnagar, about 50 kilometers from Mumbai, while carrying a fake Indian passport. The Hill Line Police took her into custody following a tip-off regarding a Bangladeshi family living in the area using fraudulent documents.
Fake Documents for Residency
The investigation began after police received information about a family in the Newali area of Ambernath utilizing fake documents. It was revealed that an individual from Amravati had prepared the false documents for Riya and her three accomplices to facilitate their illegal stay in India.
Charges Against Riya
The Hill Line Police have registered a case against Riya and four others under Section 14(A) of the Foreigners Act, 1946, as well as provisions of the Indian Penal Code. Authorities are actively searching for the remaining individuals involved in the scheme.
A Family of Fraudsters
Reports indicate that Riya’s parents are currently in Qatar. The police have filed charges not only against Riya but her entire family, which includes her mother Anjali Barde (also known as Ruby Sheikh), father Arvind Barde, brother Ravindra Riaz Sheikh, and sister Ritu Moni Sheikh.
Acquiring Indian Citizenship through Deception
Allegations suggest that Riya’s mother deliberately married a resident of Amravati to obtain Indian citizenship. This allowed her to create a new identity, after which she and her children secured false documents to gain Indian citizenship and obtain passports.
Exposed as a Native of Bangladesh
The case came to light when a friend of Riya discovered her Bangladeshi origins and her illegal status in India. This friend promptly reported the information to the police, who then initiated an investigation into Riya’s documents, leading to the exposure of her illegal activities.
Involvement in Adult Films
According to media reports, Riya Barde had connections with a production house in Mumbai, where she starred in several adult films, further complicating her legal situation.
This case highlights significant issues regarding immigration, document fraud, and the adult film industry in India. The authorities are continuing their investigations to uncover the full extent of the operation.
