A 42-year-old manager at Bajaj Finance tragically died by suicide at his home in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, reportedly due to work-related stress. Tarun Saxena, who had been with the company for around eight years, left behind a suicide note addressed to his wife, detailing the immense pressure he faced from his superiors.
In the note, Saxena expressed that he had not slept for 45 days due to the stress of meeting targets, stating that he had lost his ability to think. Allegations suggest that he was pressured to either meet his collection targets or resign, and the family has not yet filed a formal police complaint against the company. Bajaj Finance has not responded to the claims as of now.
Discovery of the Body
Saxena was found hanging by house help after he locked his wife and two children in a different room. Upon discovering the incident, the house help informed Saxena’s cousin, Gaurav Saxena, who rushed to the scene and alerted the police.
Gaurav mentioned that Tarun had been pressured to bring in more collections, with salary deductions occurring when he failed to meet the targets. He reported that two senior officials held a conference with Tarun just hours before his death, adding to his distress.
