The much-anticipated sequel to Sanam Teri Kasam, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, has been officially announced on September 10, 2024. Fans of the 2016 romantic drama can rejoice as Harshvardhan Rane is set to reprise his role in the sequel. The film’s production team, Soham Rockstar Entertainment, is currently finalizing a director to helm the project.
An official spokesperson confirmed, “We are pleased to announce that Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is indeed confirmed, featuring Harshvardhan Rane as the lead actor once again. The story has been finalized, and we are now searching for a visionary director who can bring this sequel to life.”
Harshvardhan Rane expressed his excitement, stating, “Returning to Sanam Teri Kasam feels like reconnecting with an old friend. The love and support from audiences over the years have been incredible, and I’m honored to be part of this journey again. The producers are working on a sequel that respects the original while moving the story in a fresh and exciting direction.”
Deepak Mukut, the producer of Soham Rockstar Entertainment, added, “We have locked an exceptional story for Sanam Teri Kasam 2, and we are committed to delivering a film that resonates with fans on a deep level.”
In anticipation of the sequel, Sanam Teri Kasam will be re-released in theaters in October, giving fans a chance to relive the heart-wrenching love story that has gained a loyal following over the years, despite being a box office failure upon its initial release.
Meanwhile, the original directors of Sanam Teri Kasam, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, are working on another love story titled Janam Terii Kasam, which will feature Himesh Reshammiya.
